Each month we are featuring one of the members of the Bluffton Township Fire District to be in the spotlight. This will help you get to know our fire department on a personal level.

What  town/state did you grow up in? Worcester, MA

How long have you lived in Bluffton? 15 years

Tell us about your family, wife, kids etc. My wife, Lara and I have been married for almost 14 years and have a 11 year old daughter Hayden.

Tell us what made you want to become a firefighter I had the opportunity to participate in a training fire in Connecticut and was hooked.

What is your current role/rank at BTFD? Catpain, Truck 375

What is your most memorable moment a firefighter? I can still remember my first working fire in Sommerville, MA.  I think that was the moment I really decided that this was the career for me.

What is one of your biggest achievements as a firefighter? I love teaching, and sharing my experiences with the newer members of the department

If you were not a firefighter, what would you be? I worked to pay for school as a rigger, so my guess is that is what I'd still be doing What do you like to do when you are not at the fire station? Spend time with my family, sewing the oddball project and at some point working on the 48 Chevy that's just sitting in the garage.
